Paper Potluck Snail Mail Club Policies and FAQs

What is a snail mail club? A snail mail club is a subscription service that will delight you and your mailbox. You will receive an envelope in the mail each month from the Paper Potluck studio filled with a featured recipe and multiple paper-based treats. Click here to see what you will receive.

How does shipping work? Paper Potluck posts the envelopes around the 15th of the month. The envelopes are sent UNTRACKED using a USPS Forever stamp. It could take 7-10 days to receive your envelope in your U.S. mailbox and possibly a few weeks for international subscribers. For U.S. subscribers, this means, for example, that you will receive July's envelope toward the end of June after it was mailed on about June 15.

When I subscribe, why do I have to wait until the next month to get my letter? Subscribing by the 1st of the month allows Paper Potluck enough time to supply and print the next month's envelope contents, which will be posted on about the 15th of previous month, such as June 15 for July's edition. This has three customer benefits: 1) we do not have to limit the amount of subscriptions; 2) the studio has time to order plenty of supplies to create the mailings; 3) we can always ship on time.

How does billing work? You are billed via Stripe at the time you subscribe, and billing automatically recurs until you cancel via your Stripe Customer Portal. Subscriptions are directly managed through Stripe and, at this time, cannot be included in other Paper Potluck orders.

Do you offer discounts for multi-month subscriptions? Not yet. We will offer discounts when we expand to 3-, 6-, and yearlong subscriptions. This is in the works.

Do you have international subscriptions? Yes! Click here and choose the international subscription plan.

Can I get previous months' envelopes? Yes. We make extras each month, and you can purchase them as standalone products. We are working on getting extra envelopes ready for edition #1.

Can I buy a gift subscription? Yes. Please be sure to enter the giftee's shipping address, not yours, when purchasing the subscription via Stripe.

Whoops, I gave you the wrong mailing address. Please go to your Customer Portal in Stripe to correct your information. If your envelope has already been posted, though, it's too late, and the correction will happen with next month's mailing.

Return to Sender: If an envelope is returned to Paper Potluck because of an incorrect/undeliverable address or refusal to accept delivery, the buyer is responsible for paying a new shipping fee to resend the envelope. If you choose not to pay the fee, your envelope will not be resent.

Help! I didn't get my letter! The envelopes are sent using a USPS Forever stamp and are untracked. For all subscribers, if it has been 30 or more calendar days since Paper Potluck sent the letter, send us an email so we can help: hello@paperpotluck.com. If it hasn't yet been 30 days, we ask you to wait until then. This is snail mail after all, and the USPS can be delayed for many reasons.

Help! My envelope arrived damaged! Yikes, it can happen. Please email us a photo of the damaged contents as they looked when you received them. Email: hello@paperpotluck.com

How do I cancel? If you tried our club, and it's not for you, you may cancel via your Customer Portal in Stripe. The Customer Portal is the only way to cancel your subscription. Having said that, if you run into any problems, email hello@paperpotluck.com so we can help.

I got my envelope and decided I don't want to be in the club. Can I get a refund? We do not offer refunds. To cancel your subscription, go to your Customer Portal.
